Hello! I am a Hudson Valley based ceramic artist, I make hand-built sculptures and functional ceramic objects. These forms are decorated with shapes and textures or patterns. Lately I am drawn to the shapes of sea shells and am inspired by the ocean but also I find inspiration in textiles, fabric and embroidery.

I use a variety of techniques; overlapping ribbon layers, arranging hand manipulated cutouts or using softened clay that has been whipped into a buttercream consistency and piped with a cake decorators piping bag. I frequently experiment with new shapes and textures that can be made with clay. I am a RISD sculpture alumni and I owned and operated The Whole Cake -a custom wedding cake studio in the San Francisco Bay Area. I grew up in San Francisco and lived in the bay area for many years but now I call Kingston New York home.
